FLOWMOTION

Thank you CARRIE SYCKLEMORE, TIM FOGG, LEAH HARWOOD and PAULA HAMMOND of Wiltshire Dancing for making it happen. - Three days of dancing, drumming and delight!
Together we created an underwater world which Jacques Cousteau would have loved. Octopus, dolphin, seaweed .. and we crossed the equator .... and jumped in- and swam - and eventually got to the Brazilian beach party.
A great final performance in the Arc theatre too.
Let's do it again - soon.

Flowmotion

Count Me In have been enjoying making plans with Rachael Ankers / Wiltshire Dancing for a three day extravaganza in June - FLOWMOTION - more details to follow soon.
What a joy, improvised music with live creative dance.

Making Time for music, light, brightness

It's the April gathering friends!

We're going mellow and off-beat - join us..... store up that lovely sunshine feeling and bring it along.

Merlin theatre

Just some nice memories of working in the Merlin Theatre over the years .....
A decade of Count Me In - a cosy space - and still a creative space for us now.
Thanks to support from this theatre we have brought in many people who would never have crossed the threshold of a theatre to play music and perform.
Let's hope it lasts depsite the cuts. Shame on you, Arts Council! Shame on you, Somerset County Council!

Get to work, Count Me In

Time to get to work.
We have two new funding bids being written, which will be sent to Youth Music and Awards for All.
It's a competitive climate when it comes to funding, and more time consuming than ever - but we know we can make a difference to peoples' lives, so it has to be worth it.
It's a difficult time to pick up one-offs and small commissions, too. Small organisations like ours need to stay optimistic!
We're lucky that we have music to keep us going - what a treat.

Sunday 27 March 2011

making time for music - we did!

We sprung into spring, well and truly.
Great playing, everybody.

MERLIN THEATRE SESSION

Well if we may say so, a Jolly Fine session at the Merlin Theatre today folks.
Especially liked the Groundhog Day improvisation.

If this is what 2011 is sounding like, then bring it on.
